Pre-chat form

A pre-chat form is a form that allows you to collect visitor info such as name, email, phone number, etc., before starting a chat.

To enable or customize the pre-chat form, go to Settings → Pre-chat Form.

By default, the pre-chat form contains only the “Name” and “Email” fields. To add more fields, click on + Add new field and choose a field from the list. If the field you need is not listed, select the + Add new field option to add a custom field.

You can also reorder fields, remove them, and control whether a field is required or optional.

Please note: You can also use the email request to automatically ask for a visitor’s email address after starting a chat.
