Custom fields

Custom fields are additional visitor info fields created by you.

To add a custom field, do the following:

  1. Go to Settings → Visitor Info → Visitor Info Fields.
  2. Click on the + sign in the upper right corner or on + Add new field at the bottom of the page.
  3. Provide a name for a field.
  4. Specify an API key. This is a unique name used to identify the field.
  5. Choose a type of the new field. The following types are available:
    • Single-line text
    • Email
    • Choice
    • Checkbox
  6. Turn the “Hidden” setting on if you want to hide the field from the “Visitor Info” section.
  7. Click on Done.

You can also add custom fields to a pre-chat form.
