Integration with Viber

This integration lets you receive and reply to customer messages coming from Viber directly in the Chaport app. To set it up, you need to connect your Viber bot to your Chaport account.

Please note: Starting February 5, 2024, Viber no longer allows users to create bots on their own. To create a bot, you need to contact Viber’s official partners or apply directly to Viber. Learn more about Viber’s current bot commercial model here.

How to connect your Viber bot to Chaport:

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations in your Chaport account.
  2. Click Connect next to the Viber icon.
  3. Go to your Viber account and copy the private token from your Viber bot settings.
  4. Paste the copied token to the Viber token field in Chaport.
  5. Click Connect.
  6. Done!

You can connect an unlimited number of Viber bots to your Chaport account.

How to determine that a message was sent from Viber:

You will see a small Viber icon next to a user’s avatar in the chat list. You can also check which bot the message came from in the visitor info section to the right of the open chat.

How the connected channels will be displayed in the widget:

On the desktop, the chat widget will remain unchanged. On mobile devices, when you tap on the widget, a menu with a list of the connected channels will appear. If you don’t want to show the connected channels, contact our support team, and we’ll remove them from the widget.
